My partner, Kenny, was in hospital recently for an operation that required a general anaesthetic. There’s nothing worse than seeing someone you love go through pain so, needless to say, I was a bit anxious while waiting for the call to tell me all went well. Instead of idling around being stressed and of no use to anyone I decided to put my crystals to good use by making him a crystal grid. Isn’t it great that we have the power to help the people we care about by using our crystals?
What are crystal grids?
Crystal grids are a group of crystals that are placed in a geometric pattern to direct focused energy to a specific intention or outcome. A crystal grid can be more powerful than using just one crystal as you have several healing gems working together on the same goal. The stones are often placed on sacred geometric shapes (such as the seed of life or the star of David) to further supercharge the energy flow. If you’d like to know more about the process of setting up and activating your crystal grid you can find a great article and video on Energy Muse.
Setting an intention and choosing crystals
I wanted the crystal grid to be full of love so I immediately reached for the rose quartz (of course!). But something just didn’t feel right so I went with my instinct because the crystals that want to be used will always reach out to you.
That’s why this crystal grid has green calcite as the focus stone. Green calcite helps stimulate the immune system and prevent infections – great for during and after an operation. Green aventurine features as a way stone as it is a good all-round healer and a comforting stone to help ease nerves and settle any nausea. Amethyst was called on as the desire stone as it is also a great all-rounder and helps to alleviate pain and reduce swelling and bruising. It is also a soothing stone and helps ease headaches, which I’m guessing many people get after being in a stressful operating theatre environment. This is ultimately what I wanted my outcome to be – a healthy guy home with minimum pain involved.
I also added in some clear quartz points to boost the energy of the other crystals. While placing the crystals, I programmed them to ensure Kenny had a successful operation and recovery.
Activating the crystal grid
It’s always nice to add your own unique touches to crystal grids, so I was super chuffed to find the wee green leaves shaped like love hearts in my garden. I took it as a good sign of positive things to come because nature is a symbol of growth and rejuvenation and of course the love heart shape symbolises the love I have for him. As a finishing touch, I placed under the focus stone a written affirmation that said: “Kenny’s operation was successful and he recovered with no infection and minimal pain”.
I organised all the healing stones in a square formation as it is one of the most powerful shapes in sacred geometry. I felt it offered a sense of strength and protection. The last step was to use my clear quartz point to connect all the crystals like the spokes on a bicycle wheel and to really visualise the energy of the grid coming to life. I also sent Kenny off with a few crystals in his pocket (black obsidian, green calcite and amethyst). He was over the moon about that, of course 😉
Are there any other crystals you would use in this type of situation? I would love to know.
